I work in a contemporary style in a very minimalistic way. I feel that my minimalistic approach, allows the viewer to become drawn into my subject without unnecessary complexity detracting from the subject

I'm very excited by colours and how, by using very few of them, a whole scene can be visualised. Take, for example,  my studies of Lavender Fields in the south of France. The use of only 2 colours, and the texture created by the minimalistic stitching, depicts the complete view of sweeping fields of scented lavender.

I live in Gloucester UK with my husband and young son. My inspiration comes in many guises; from everyday items such as baby milk scoops and chippings in my garden path to my travels in this country and abroad, especially Australia.

I'm constantly drawn back to the Australian desert outback; the stark and inhospitable surroundings versus such vibrant colours of the desert and sky.
